Being Serious

Seriousness is an accident of time.
Humanity takes itself too seriously. It is the world's original sin. If the cave-man had known how to laugh, History would have been different.
Seriousness is too boring to the playful human condition. A heart of stone that has a long face can never express love.
The only reason to take anything seriously is to make it more fun.
There are things that are so serious that you can only joke about them.
You need to understand that some comedy can have consequences.
The Greatest Enemy of Confidence is Inexperience. 
Some say you have only one shot in life, well if you get ammo, you can reload. 
Life is absolutely serious but simultaneously and absolutely ridiculous.
Actions defined a man but words were a fart in the wind.
Life was never meant to be serious, it was meant to be enjoyable.
Concentration is a powerful force, it is the mark of seriousness that attracts certain energies to complete your half-done work.
When the situation is serious, don’t be funny; and when the situation is funny, don’t be serious. 
Those who are serious in ridiculous matters will be ridiculous in serious matters.
One must be serious about something, if one wants to have any amusement in life. 
Let us celebrate imperfections and make existence proud of us, for tomorrow is what we decide to do today. 
The men who made the joke saw something deep which they could not express except by something silly and emphatic.
It is easy to be solemn, it is so hard to be frivolous. 
When a person can no longer laugh at himself, it is time for others to laugh at him. 
The first step towards true enlightenment is to lighten up on yourself.
