Forbidden

We hunger in earnest for that which we cannot consume.
Having something forbidden is exciting. 
We always long for the forbidden things, and desire what is denied us. 
Our last conscious thought was of our biggest mistake,  yet we enjoy the forbidden fruits in life, too.
Forbidden pleasures alone are loved immoderately,  when lawful, they do not excite desire.     
There is a charm about the forbidden that makes it unspeakably desirable.  
Forbidden love provides happiness when there is no happiness at all. 
Adultery is the application of democracy to love.  
Physical infidelity is the signal, the notice given, that all fidelities are undermined.     
When unrequited love is the most expensive thing on the menu, sometimes you settle for the daily special.
To burn with desire and keep quiet about it, is the greatest punishment we can bring on ourselves.   
At the end of the day it's about how much you can bear, how much you can endure.
Sinful and forbidden pleasures are like poisoned bread,  they may satisfy the appetite for a moment, but there is death in them all at the end. 
While forbidden fruit is said to taste sweeter, it usually spoils faster in the end.
